Faculty of Business Administration, AIUB, organized a workshop on "Writing Research Proposal: Mystery & Myth" on January 27, 2020, in Annex 3, Room 3202, AIUB Campus from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The resource person in the workshop was Dr. S. M. Ferdous Azam, Faculty of Business Management & Professional Studies, Management & Science University Malaysia. Faculty members from BBA & MBA program as well as from Science & Technology, and Arts & Social Sciences participated in the seminar. The program aimed to enhance the faculty members' research potential as a continuing Faculty development of the initiative. Dr. Ferdous Azam gave an informative speech and shared his valuable expertise on the subject matter of the workshop. The speaker has rich expertise in terms of Research & Journal Publications, supervising Ph.D. & Masters studies, participation in reputed international conferences, conducting seminars & workshops in various countries.
The workshop started with introducing the resource speaker to the audience by Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Associate Professor, Dept. of Management & HRM. During the seminar, Dr. Ferdous highlighted the essential insights and skills to develop a fruitful research proposal in pursuing Ph.D. programs. He mentioned the significance of having a comprehensive understanding of the contents of a research proposal and its implications for getting successful acceptance from reputed internal universities. In addition to this, Dr. Ferdous stressed on developing a thorough understanding of selecting the appropriate methodology for the research. There had been an interactive discussion and question-answer session among the participants of the workshop and the resource speaker. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks to Dr. Ferdous by Ms. Farheen Hassan, BBA Program Director, AIUB and also presenting a Certificate of Appreciation. At the end of the workshop, the participating faculty members conveyed their eagerness to have the presence of Dr. Ferdous in AIUB in near future to get more information and knowledge developing sessions on pursuing a higher degree.
