As a part of regular students’ development program, the Department of Marketing and THM of AIUB organised a study tour for the students majoring in marketing to the factories of BRAC Dairy and Food Project situated in Joydevpur Road, Joydebpur, Gazipur, Bangladesh.

The study tour familiarised the students with the Factory Operations, Agro-based products’ processing units, and Sales and Distribution processes of BRAC Dairy and BRAC Chicken, concerns of BRAC Social Enterprise. The tentative date for conducting the visit is March 29, 2017 (Thursday).

The study tour was divided into two parts that consisted of a visit to BRAC Chicken factory followed by the visit to BRAC Dairy factory. The first session of the day started with the visit to BRAC Chicken where the visiting team of AIUB was greeted by Dr. Md. Fazlul Haque, Assistant Manager, Quality Control, BRAC Chicken. The second part of the tour started in the afternoon after taking a lunch break arranged at the Gazipur Regional Office of BRAC. In this session of the day, the group visited the factory of BRAC Dairy where they learnt about their operational activities and future development strategies from the General Manager of Aarong Dairy, Mr. Zia Uddin.
