The Department of Marketing has organized a seminar titled “Hunting Consumer Psychologist” on October 20, 2019, at Annex 3 Room no. 3205. The seminar was conducted by honorable guests Mr. Imran Ahmed Saudagar, Manager, and Ms. Saffanat Husain, Executive Strategic Planning, Bitopi, Bashundhara group, Dhaka.
The resource persons, Mr. Imran Ahmed Saudagar and Saffanat Husain shared their real-life service experiences in their advertising firm Bitopi, Bashundhara group. They shared how to attack and attract customers by using their emotions and personalities in preparing the advertisement for any products and have a higher sales volume of that specific product or service. The industry experts stated Consumer psychology means will have a competitive advantage as market resource analyst, market segmentation, Customer Segmentation, public relations specialist or industrial-organizational psychologist.
The students of Consumer Behavior enjoyed their advertisements that they prepared based on customers' needs and understanding levels on the class projectors. The post-seminar comments of students were not only informative, technical, persuasive but also most importantly interactive.
Ms. Farheen Hassan, Director, BBA Program, FBA was present at the seminar and she stated in her vote of thanks that the event designed for giving direction to our students to become a consumer psychologist in a complex and highly competitive marketing environment by sharing their experiences. Thus, later on, our students will be able to take leadership of analyzing consumer’s buying habit/decision-making process in their workplace hence, will be able to foster the growth of the industry. Moreover, the practical knowledge students gathered from industry expertise, they will be motivated to be more sincere to gather theoretical knowledge and devote to implement in their real life.
