The Department of Marketing, AIUB, organized a seminar on"Career Prospects in Marketing" on October 4, 2018 in Annex 1 of Permanent Campus from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The target audience of the seminar was students of ‘Principles of Marketing’ Course. The key note speaker of the seminar was Mr. Mohammad Ariful Hoque, Business Development Manager, Market Express Limited. To enhance the students’ academic learning and make them aware about the professional opportunities in Marketing, the speaker gave an informative speech and shared his valuable expertise on the subject matter of the seminar. Mr. Ariful Hoque has a rich corporate expertise in terms of working in the prominent MNC’s in Bangladesh and Europe.
During the seminar, Mr. Ariful highlighted the Marketing environment of the country along with the consumption trends. In addition to this, he also shared the socio-economic factors leading to the dynamic business opportunities for the marketers willing to venture in Bangladesh. The highlight of the session was a fruitful discussion on how the undergraduate students can prepare themselves for the competitive job market. The seminar was indeed an interactive knowledge sharing forum that was followed by a question-answer session from the participating students. The seminar was also graced by Mr. Hamidul Islam, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Marketing. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks and presenting a Certificate of Appreciation to the key note speaker by Dr. Khondaker Sazzadul Karim, Head & Associate Professor, Dept. of Marketing. This event was organized by Ms. Tahsina Khan, Sr. Assistant Professor, along with the cooperation from Ms. Yesmin Sultana, Assistant Professor, Mr. Shafkat Reza Chowdhury, Sr. Lecturer, Mr. Mahmudul Hasan, Lecturer, Mr. Saihad Shahid Rahman, Lecturer, Dept. of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration.
