The Department of Marketing has organized a seminar titled "Adding Value to the Company by Reducing Service Gap" on October 16, 2018 at the Multi-Purpose Hall. The key note speaker was Md. Abdus Salam, Executive Vice President and Head of Compliance and Monitoring, Premier Bank Ltd, Banani, Dhaka. Dr. Khondaker Sazzadul Karim, Head, Department of Marketing said in his opening of the seminar that arranging this kind of seminar will enhance student’s theoretical knowledge into practical thus will be easier to cop up in different organization.

The resource person, Mr. Abdus Salam shared his real life service experiences in his banking industry of 30 years in a dimensional ways. The key words he shared with examples as sources of not only for adding value to own characteristics but also preparing to serve the stakeholders thus be evaluated by the organization; these are hardworking, religion, honesty, avoid egoism, behave in accordance with a general principle, natural law, independency etc. He directed the attention of the audiences only those people can serve properly who are responsible and believe in accountability. In addition, he also said firmly that without obeying and practicing religion and law, there will be a tremendous of gap between service providers and acceptors indeed. Moreover, your sincerity and devotion will make you leaders in the job markets that AIUB has been trying to create.

The Vice President, Academics and the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva was present at the seminar and he said in his vote of thanks that it is always better understanding for the students when they hear practical things with the relevancy of theoretical terms from the organizational experts. It was possible to conduct the seminar smoothly because of the dedicated support by Mr. Md. Rashidul Islam Pallab, Executive Director, Admin.
