Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration organized one corporate/plant visit to the Ice Cream manufacturing plant of Dhaka Ice Cream Industries Limited at 80, Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Sharani, Tejgaon I/A, Dhaka on 7th of April, 2018. The visit was organized basically for the marketing major students of BBA program. On behalf of Department of Marketing Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Associate Professor, and Mr. A.K.M. Kamrul Haque, Sr. Assistant Professor organized the trip in consultation with Dr. Khondaker Sazzadul Karim, Associate Professor, and Coordinator, Department of Marketing.

Upon Arrival, Mr. Mehraj Hamid, Head of HR & Administration delivered his welcome speech with brief introduction to the organization. The visit was both enjoyable and informative The insightful presentation session which was conducted by Mr. Md. Nuruzzaman Prodhan, Senior Brand Executive along with other team members of the organization contained detail information and provided students an opportunity to reduce the gap between theoretical knowledge and real life business situation in the context of ice cream manufacturing industry of the country. A Q & A session was included during the session and students participated enthusiastically for clarification of different issues. The presentation session was followed by Polar ice cream plant visit which helped students to acquire practical knowledge on the integrated value chain activities of an ice cream plant.

Faculty members of AIUB extended their profound thanks to the officials and staff of Dhaka Ice Cream Industries Limited for their support & hospitality and AIUB management for providing the administrative support to organize this successful trip. At the end of the program Faculty members and students of AIUB handed over gift hampers to Mr. Mehraj Hamid, Head of HR & Administration; Mr. Md. Nuruzzaman Prodhan, Senior Brand Executive and other executives (Managers) of Dhaka Ice Cream Industries Limited as small token of appreciation.
