On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, the Department of Management and HRM organized an event entitled Entrepreneurship Dialogue 2020 at the Media Studio. The event was a collaborative effort of two faculty members teaching Entrepreneurship Development in the current semester: Ms. Kishwar M Chowdhury, Assistant Professor, and Ms. Samia Shabnaz, Senior Assistant Professor along with the kind assistance of Senior Assistant Professor, Ms. Hafsa Maryam.
The initiative was made possible due to AIUB’s recent strategic partnership agreement with the Entrepreneur Organization (EO) GSEA. Two of the student start-up finalists who participated in the Student Entrepreneurship Awards were invited to speak at this event: Eshara, the First-Ever Online Platform Teaching Sign Language and Educating the Mute and Deaf Community of Bangladesh; and
Khamare, a one-stop dairy process optimization and automation solution for farmers and large industries alike.
The speakers delivered presentations on their entrepreneurial journey and addressed the many aspects of starting a business in an interactive discussion with our students. The topics covered included opportunity recognition, feasibility studies, market research, social networking and execution intelligence, all of which are topics currently being taught in the Entrepreneurship Development classes. The presentations were followed by a question and answer session after which Ms. Farheen Hassan, Director of the BBA program presented the speakers with AIUB mementos as a token of appreciation for their participation in the initiative.
