Corporate Session Entitled “Brands and Branding in Bangladesh”

A corporate session entitled “Brands and Branding in Bangladesh” was held by the Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration on February 12, 2018 at the Room 1120, Annex Building 1 of Permanent Campus, Kuril, Dhaka. The seminar was presented by Mr. Sajid Mahbub, Head of Business Operations, Bangladesh Brand Forum.

The seminar was started with a short introductory speech by organizer of the event Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Associate Professor of Department of Marketing. The Resource speaker shared his real life experiences in the field of marketing and brand management specifically in the context of Bangladesh market and demonstrated the ways to develop a brand and shared his real life experiences regarding evaluation of local brands by Bangladesh Brand Forum. The seminar was both enjoyable and informative.  The insightful presentation contained detail information and provided students an opportunity to reduce the gap between theoretical knowledge and real life business situation in the context of brand and product management.

The presentation session was followed by a quiz contest and Mr. Sajid handed over a gift item (book) to the winner Mr. Khondoker Towsif Hassan (ID # 16-31469). The session was ended by giving a vote of thanks to the resource speaker by Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Associate Professor. The guest speaker was presented with a Gift pack and a Certificate of Appreciation by Professor Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Director, MBA Program. Mr. AKM Kamrul Haque, Sr. Assistant Professor of Department of Marketing also attended the session.
