Ms. Sabrina Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Marketing & THM has been awarded with the ATHE 2016-2017 Award of Best Post-Graduate Student of University of Brighton, England. ATHE (Association for Tourism in Higher Education) is a learned society in the UK that announce annual awards for distinguishing the best students of each of their member universities. Sabrina started her MSc in Tourism & International Development in the University of Brighton on September, 2016. Before starting her MSc, Sabrina became the only student to achieve the University of Brighton International Post-Graduate Full Tuition Fee Scholarship for the academic year 2016-2017. During her study in the University of Brighton, Sabrina conducted an intensive research on determining "The Extent of Responsible Tourism Practices of the Domestic Tourists in Bangladesh". She is now working with her then supervisor, Ms. Clare Weeden, to convert her research paper into an article and to publish it in the Journal of Sustainable Tourism of Routledge Publisher. After completing her MSc in Tourism & International Development, Sabrina now aspires to broaden her insights in the fields of responsible consumer/tourist behavior, ethical and social responsibility and the dynamics of international development in the era of globalization in order to improve her credentials for working in these areas.
