In consonance with the thrust of AIUB to share its resources and expertise to the colleges in Dhaka through its outreach program, on 30 January 2019, BAF Shaheen School and College, Tejgaon was the recipient and host of the program. The program was spearheaded by a team from FBA composed of Dr. Khondaker Sazzadul Karim, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Marketing; Mr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Accounting; Mr. Ashfaque A. Mohib, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management; Mr. Stanley Rodrick, Sr. Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing; Ms. Anisa Sultana, Sr. Assistant. Professor, Department of Management & HR; Ms. Yesmin Sultana, Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing; and Ms. Sabrina Rahman, Assistant Professor, Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management. This program was aimed at bringing to the teachers and students of BAF Shaheen School and College both technical and practical teaching approaches to the teachers and build the capacities of the students in effective decision-making process for their future career development. The Principal, Group Captain Shah Kawsar Ahmed Choudhury, psc and some teachers were on hand to receive the team and made arrangement for the planned interventions. At first, an interactive career orientation session was conducted with 150 senior students of HSC Class. After the session, the students were given orientation about AIUB and academic program offerings particularly in the Faculty of Business Administration through a multimedia presentation. The achievements of AIUB and its quality and excellent programs were underscored during the orientation. A Quiz Contest has also been arranged for the students and six students have been rewarded with token gifts. The outreach program was very much appreciated because of the nature of the approach and the type of intervention provided to the students and teachers. This is AIUB’s way of reaching out to the educational institutions whose graduates are potential students in the university.
