  • An abstract of an article entitled “An Investigation of Sustainability (environmental impact and CO2 emissions) of Current Manufactured Mobile Handsets Distributed by the Mobile Manufacturing Companies” was submitted for possible publication.
  • An abstract of an article entitled “The Dynamic Impact of Country of Origin Image (COO) In Consumers’ Loyalty” in DUBS Journal 2013.
  • An article on relationship marketing entitled “Market Orientation- A key Determinant of Developing Trust and Commitment: An Empirical Examination of the Indian automobile sector” has been accepted by Asian Journal of Management.
  • A paper entitled “Comparative Analysis of Supply Chain Management for Universities through ITESCM Model” was accepted for the 4th International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM), Indonesia.

Curriculum and Institutional Enrichment

  • Course Outlines of Computer Fundamentals (BBA) were developed and enriched
  • Business case studies for different core and major courses were developed, organized and implemented as part of the course.
  • Course outlines of “Strategic Marketing” and “Performance Appraisal and Management” were updated and enriched.
  • Unified question papers were prepared for the BBA courses entitled “Principles of Marketing”, ( “Marketing Management” and “Global Trade”.

  • Instructional materials for the major course “Advanced Business Statistics” (BBA) was prepared.

  • Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with SGS Bangladesh Ltd. This MoU formalized the partnership between the two organizations which covers both academic and non-academic activities of mutual interest.
  • Updated and conducted orientation for the new teachers on pedagogy and other teaching related requirements like TPE, TSF, Course Outline, Test Questions Construction, Classroom Evaluation, Guidelines for Faculty Ranking, and others.

  • Facilitated the conduct of seminars, workshops, talk shows, lecture series through letter of invitation, preparation and presentation of certificates of appreciation, delivering welcome messages.
  • Spearheaded the inauguration or opening of co-curricular programs of the faculty and students like Business Club anniversary, Shomoy Club, Drama Club, Business Plan Competition, book launching of Introduction to Business, debates and others.
  • Coordinated the preparation and correction of Batches 1 and 2 Admission Test Questions for BBA, BA and MBA/EMBA.
  • Prepared the necessary documents for the renewal of the partnership with Gavle University, Sweden on Faculty and Student Exchange for 2014-2016
  • Arranged the faculty exchange program of Dr. Nisar Ahmed with University of Gavle, Sweden.

  • Formulated guidelines for the use of Case Studies in selected courses of BBA and consolidated the title or list of case studies by department and the report of implementation.
  • Provided direction in the revision, enrichment and renaming of the BBA major in MIS and Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) courses.
  • Updated the guidelines and templates of the Student Internship Program.
  • Provided direction as Project Leader in the preparation and implementation of a Research project funded by the British Council entitled: Exploring the Pathways Economic Empowerment of Women in the Sutrapur

  • Prepared a Proposal on Faculty and Administrative Staff Development (degree and non-degree programs) for funding by ERASMUS MUNDOS through a collaborative partnerships with European and South Asian universities.
  • Coordinated the preparation for accreditation of the Formal Visit of the CS five degree programs and preliminary visit for the BScEEE program.
  • Organized and conducted a training program on Quality Assurance cum Accreditation with the members of the area subcommittees of the FE and FSIT.
  • Presided over the review of the filled in self- survey questionnaire on areas of Faculty, Instruction, Laboratory and Library by the area subcommittee concern.
