The Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM), Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) organized a class room seminar with the MBA students majoring in OSCM, on November 7, 2018 at AIUB permanent campus, Annex-1.  This is part of Student Development Program, regularly undertaken by FBA to continually increase interactions with the industry experts and professional leaders for academic enrichment endeavors with practical knowledge sharing sessions.
The guest speaker was Mr. Khan Mohammed Masudul Alam, Senior Manager, Warehouse Supply Chain Management, Banglalink Digital Communications Limited, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is notably a Chartered Member of International Logistics and Transport (CMILT, CILT, UK), and Certified Supply Chain Manager (CSCMTM ISCEA, USA). Mr. Masudul Alam has a solid 18 years working experience in different positions of the country’s largest & well reputed organizations, in core manufacturing and supply chain management arena.  He has been extensively involved in diversified arenas, such as procurement, inventory management, operation management, warehousing, production planning distribution, logistics, local and international customs rules & sourcing, to achieve supply chain targets both in manufacturing and trading business sector.  His has been contributing his practical knowledge and feedbacks, on regular basis, towards the development of the OSCM course contents to reduce the gap between class room sessions and real world practices, thus strengthening the value propositions to supply chain community.
The seminar was inaugurated by our Prof. Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Director of MBA Program.  The session was very interactive from the start.  There were lot of participatory involvement between the students and the speaker, with lots questions and feedbacks about the INCOTERMS and its practical application in real world. The session concluded with vote of thanks by Mr. Ashfaque A. Mohib, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Operations and Supply Chain. A certificate of appreciation and souvenirs were presented to the guest speaker, on behalf of OSCM, FBA, AIUB.
